Delete Account

You can delete your NihonLetter account and related data at any time. This page explains how to delete it and what happens when you do.

Delete within the app

  1. Open the NihonLetter iOS app.
  2. Go to “Settings” → “Account”.
  3. Select “Delete Account” and confirm.

The exact entry-point names follow the actual version in your app.

What happens after deletion

  • Your account will be closed.
  • The files, analysis results, and in-app reminder records associated with your account will be deleted.
  • Once submitted, the deletion request is processed asynchronously in the background and is usually completed within a short time.
  • Data cannot be recovered after deletion.

Device calendar / reminders: events and reminders you previously added to your device's local Calendar or Reminders app via “Add to Calendar / Reminders” are local data on your device and are not removed automatically when you delete your account; if you want to clear them, please delete them yourself in your device's Calendar / Reminders app.

Retention exception: to fulfill legal and compliance obligations, we de-identify finance / transaction-related records and retain them for a legally required period, and we keep one deletion audit record containing an account identifier as evidence that the deletion request was carried out; this data is used only for internal compliance purposes and is not provided externally. Unable to do it in the app?

If you cannot delete your account through the app, please contact us via our Support page and we will help you complete the deletion.
